Kings & Queens of the Underground is Billy Idol's first album of original material in nine years, and was mainly co-written with 2010 backing band recruit Billy Morrison, as well as with his longtime cohort, Steve Stevens. Mixing styles as varied as hard rock and flamenco, the record features confessional lyrics, most noticeably on the title track, and includes the lead single "Can't Break Me Down."
