Sony PRS-T1 will be my third Book Reader after Amazon Kindle 3 and Sony PRS-650, well Apple iPad2 is not counted here.
Why iPad is not count as Book Reader? My answer is simple, Reader should use electronic ink, e-ink for short.

E-Ink display delivers clear, crisp text and images that you can read without eye strain. For extended periods of reading, E Ink displays deliver the best reading experience.

This is my experience with Electronic Reader:
1. Kindle 3 today Amazon call it Kindle Keyboard, when I have this device I was thinking this is the best reader device I can get, boy I was wrong. This reader natively can read Kindle (AZW), TXT, PDF, Audible (Audible Enhanced (AA, AAX)), MP3, unprotected MOBI, PRC natively; HTML, DOC, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP through conversion. The problem I was having with Kindle is it's limited capabilitied in reading PDF, although I like Amazon store very much. With 8.5 ounces or 241 grams as it's weight, it is very easy to forget that your holding a Book Reader instead of physical book.

2. Sony PRS-650, this is what I've been waiting for reading PDF, this device has PDF reflow function, so make your reading experiences much better especially for PDF compared with Kindle. The other features I like about this device is touch-screen, I can make simple drawing when taking notes in meeting. I miss wireless connectivity on this device, but with the ability to add additional memory (SD Card and Memory Stick), makes this device more lovable. With 7.58 ounces or 214 grams it is very light for Reader made from aluminium not plastic like Kindle.

3. Sony PRS-T1, is an upgrade from Sony PRS-650 with additional Web Browser, multi-touch. And it's only weight 5.9 ounces or 167 grams.

Best of all, I using calibre as book-management software not only helps me convert my books it also gives extra capabilities to edit book metadata so your library can have cover picture, series (collection), etc.

Please enjoy the pictures below, while I enjoy book reading using Sony PRS-T1.
